You don’t have to be an experienced powerlifter or strongman to train at Blue Collar Barbell. At Blue Collar, we take anybody and everybody who’s willing to work hard and be a part of the team. We accept everyone from total beginners to seasoned lifters, both men and women, young and old. We have raw lifters, raw w/wraps lifters, single-ply and multi-ply lifters. We’re here to help people achieve their fitness goals and help athletes achieve their competitive goals. We welcome anyone who wants to build lean muscle, lose bodyfat, and take their training to the next level!

We train in a group to keep costs down and keep the intensity high. You’ll never find an atmosphere quite like ours, where we push each other to meet and exceed our goals! Even though we train as a group, our coach Shawna Mendelson still coaches us one-on-one through each and every lift. We will work on your form and technique from day 1, ensuring you get the most from your workouts and stay injury-free.

You will get the intensity, motivation and feedback of a group session, while still getting personal coaching, technique coaching, and programming from a highly qualified coach.

In addition to coaching during training, you will also receive nutrition info, and we will work with you on general physical fitness, conditioning, mobility, and prehab/rehab work. Once we’ve identified what you need to work on, we’ll set you up on a custom program designed to make you stronger than you’ve ever been before!

Simple! If you’re not sure if you’d like to train with the team, we encourage you to get in contact with us and come give us a visit! Newcomers are encouraged (and required) to observe a team training session and learn what our methods, team, and gym are all about. Many people have never trained in a group setting before, and are blown away by how much the high-intensity atmosphere improves their training!

What if I’m more interested in personal training, private group training, online consultations, or one-on-one coaching?
No problem! Our coach Shawna Mendelson also offers personal training and consultations etc. Shawna trains clients in our gym, in-home, and is available for training, programming, and dietary guidance via Skype. Check out Personal Training by Shawna!
