Well as you all know, this past weekend we hosted the SPF Summer Heat Push/Pull. This meet was about giving back to Long Island Against Domestic Violence. We asked everyone who was attending to please bring a gift card worth $10.00 or more in lieu of paying an entry fee. I also set up a donation tag on my page. Well, our event went over better then I could have ever expected. We raised a lot of money! We had 12 competitors who lifted like rock stars! Congratulations to all of you!! The amount of support that was in that room was just incredible!! Our event was packed with amazing people from near and far, we even had people just stop by to drop off donations! The energy in the room was just outstanding! I want to give a very special thank you to my team Blue Collar Barbell who always work tirelessly to make our events run like well oiled machines you guys rocked!! Thank you to the love of my life Jay Curry for all of your support always! For running all over like crazy, keeping me calm, and for inviting so many wonderful people! Thank you to Brian Hocker for spinning some awesome tunes! You kept the crowd going! Thank you to Hummus Mediterranean for donating all of the delicious food, Thank you to Marc Sydell for dedicating your day, manning the table and taking care of the t-shirts, key chains and for just being an awesome friend. Thank you to everyone who just came and supported all of our efforts we hope you all enjoyed yourselves and join us again! December will be our next event! Stay strong everyone! 💪💪
I wasn’t going to lift today because I was handling so many people. I did because it was great cause, and none of my friends/clients ever see me lift. I only took two attempts here. I haven’t pulled since May! Here is 475lbs at 162.7 bw! What an awesome day! Blue Collar Barbell, Everyone who competed, and helped out killed it! Jay…I just can’t say enough.
